What is Mops?
MOPS is Mothers of Preschoolers; a ministry created over 25 years ago to give mothers of infant to kindergarten age children a morning out for rest, Christian nurturing, fellowship and crafts. MOPS is a place for young mothers to learn Biblical principals pertaining to womanhood, marriage and parenting.
Could I help at MOPS?
IF…
You love preschool children and want to nurture them in a safe, warm and caring environment.
You can donate 5 hours per month of your time.
You have a servant’s heart.
You are qualified to Help!!
What would I do at a MOPS meeting?
While moms are at MOPS, children are cared for in a program called MOPPETS. Children enjoy stories, games, crafts and song. Teachers help shape their futures with Christian love and teaching. We are in need of caring volunteers to help with the MOPPETS program.
There are four age groups of children – infants; walkers; 2-3 year olds; and 4-5 year olds. Children under the age of 2 are cared for in a nursery environment while the older kids are in a more structured learning program. You would be placed where you are most needed or where your skills would be best utilized.
